• Talk robots & related stuff.
• Make it easier for people to attend DPRG remotely.
Agenda
• Round table – everybody spends a couple minutes telling what projects they’re working on.
• Ad-hoc presentations – Whoever would like to show & tell.
• “Stump the club” Challenges – Ask for help if you’ve hit a roadblock in your project. Somebody in the club can probably get you pointed in a good direction – or even arrange a side bar session to help.
Note: We record a video of these sessions and post them on the DPRG YouTube channel. By joining the meeting, you’re giving consent to be included in the recording

This month DPRG welcomes special guests Miro Voellmy and Max Erhardt, ex-members of the European Space Agency team, who will present from Germany and Switzerland! Their presentation is on the educational mobile robot, ExoMy. ExoMy is inspired by the Mars rover Rosalind Franklin of the European Space Agency.
ExoMy features a triple-bogie locomotion subsystem with six steerable wheels. All mechanical parts are 3D printed. The electronics consist of a battery, power distribution, on board computer and camera, using parts that are widely available and cost-efficient. The software allows teleoperation of ExoMy using a gamepad, or a custom web interface which provides a camera view. It is programmed in Python, within the ROS framework to make future expansion easy and is deployed with Docker.
The project is published under an open-source license and comprehensive assembly and installation instructions are provided. ExoMy has successfully been built by people all around the world and is a great introduction to space robotics for students and enthusiasts.

About DPRG
Dallas Personal Robotics Group has been actively building robots for fun since 1984. We meet every Tuesday evening and every 2nd Saturday, and frequently participate in community events.
In normal times we meet at the Dallas MakerSpace. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we have met virtually using Google meet. Our virtual meetings have attendees from multiple countries and locations in the USA. We always welcome guests of all ages and skill levels!
